Overview
Claire Cormier joined the Office of the County Counsel’s Civil Rights, Tort, and Employment Litigation Team in 2019. She represents the County in a range of civil matters. Prior to joining the office, Claire was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of California, where she represented the federal government in defensive civil cases. While with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Claire served terms as Senior Litigation Counsel and Civil Appellate Chief. Claire’s professional expertise includes employment discrimination, torts, civil rights and constitutional violations, and appellate practice.
