Jeremy A. Avila

Deputy County Counsel

Jeremy A. Avila joined the Office of the County Counsel in 2019.  As a member of the Civil & Code Enforcement Section, Jeremy represents the County in a variety of enforcement actions.  Before joining the Office, he served as a prosecutor for six years, prosecuting sophisticated drug traffickers, serious and violent felonies, and crimes of domestic violence, elder abuse, and child abuse.  He also worked closely with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to support and assist in criminal investigations.  Jeremy brings extensive courtroom experience, having briefed and argued countless motions and first-chaired 30 trials in state court.
