Jerett Yan

Deputy County Counsel

Jerett Yan joined the Office of the County Counsel in 2021 as a member of the Finance and Government Operations team and the Environmental and Land Use team.  He also advises the Assessment Appeals Board.  Before joining the County, Jerett advised public agencies on a variety of litigation and advisory matters including procurement of infrastructure projects using alternative project delivery methods; implementation of taxes, assessments, and fees; code enforcement; and processing applications for land use entitlements.  Prior to that, he investigated and adjudicated complaints regarding discrimination in environmental permitting and enforcement practices as an attorney advisor to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
