Jessica E. Mar
Deputy County Counsel
Jessica Mar joined the Office of the County Counsel in 2022. She is a member of the Social Justice and Impact Litigation Team and the Health and Hospital Team. Before joining the Office, Jessica led government investigations and prosecuted high-impact affirmative cases to protect and promote the health of Californians at the California Department of Justice. Jessica served as a lead attorney in People of California v. JUUL Labs, Inc. As a Deputy City Attorney for the City of Berkeley, Jessica advised the Health, Housing and Community Services Department and worked on election law and open government.
