Kevin M. Hammon
Deputy County Counsel
Kevin Hammon joined the Office of the County Counsel in 2007, and serves in the Office’s Child and Family Protection Team. He represents the County’s Department of Family and Children’s Services (DFCS) in child abuse and neglect cases. In this capacity, Kevin has handled a wide variety of trials, statutory hearings, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Kevin also represents the County in Dependency Wellness Court, where parents with substance-abuse histories participate in informal hearings before a team of service providers, attorneys, and judges. Kevin has also handled appeals, standing orders, and educational-rights issues.
