Kimberly B. Warsaw

Deputy County Counsel

 Kim Warsaw joined the Office’s Child Dependency unit in 1996.  She has successfully handled hundreds of resolution-calendars and trials for the County’s Department of Family and Children’s Services in child abuse and neglect cases.  Kim also serves as the attorney specialist for the Department’s Emergency Response and Dependency Investigation bureaus.  Kim has trained social workers, medical providers, community partners, and state-wide county counsel child dependency attorneys regarding child welfare law.  She also served on the Green Book Project for Effective Intervention in Domestic Violence and Child Maltreatment Cases. 

Kim’s professional expertise includes:

  • Child welfare law
  • Protective-custody warrant applications and petitions
  • Assessment of emergency response and dependency investigation cases
  • Confidentiality of juvenile court records
  • Training regarding child welfare law
