Kristin W. Baker
Deputy County Counsel
Kristin Baker joined the Office of the County Counsel in 2001. Her main practice areas include juvenile dependency, contracts, and compliance for the Social Services Agency. She has successfully tried hundreds of juvenile dependency cases and works closely with the client to provide legal support for public assistance programs and services. Within the Social Services Agency, she advises department representatives regarding procurement-review and compliance, public records requests, the Brown Act, CalWIN, and confidentiality. Kristin is also the primary attorney assigned to In-Home Supportive Services, Senior Nutrition, the Child Abuse Council, and the Department of Employment and Benefits Services.
