Laura E. Underwood

Deputy County Counsel

Laura Underwood joined the Office of the County Counsel’s Child Dependency Unit in May 2017.  She advises the County’s Department of Family and Children’s Services (DFCS) and County social workers in juvenile dependency matters, and represents the DFCS and social workers in dependency court.         

Laura’s professional expertise includes:

• Juvenile dependency law
• Juvenile dependency trials, mediations, and hearings
