Robert D. Fannion

Deputy County Counsel

Robert D. Fannion joined the Office of the County Counsel in 2020 as a member of the Finance and Government Operations Team, advising County departments, such as the County Clerk-Recorder and Department of Tax and Collections, on a range of legal issues.

Prior to joining the Office of the County Counsel, Robert represented investors and private companies in complex transactions up to $5 billion in value, private finance, and general corporate matters.  He also served as a judicial clerk to two Chief Judges at the U.S. Court of International Trade.  Prior to attending law school, Robert served on the faculties of Harvard University and Reed College, teaching courses in the social sciences and history.
