Litigation

We handle nearly all of the County’s civil litigation.   In addition to defending the County in lawsuits, we also file litigation to protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of county residents, such as lawsuits about substandard housing, consumer protection, workers’ rights, and environmental protection.  We also represent the County in probate court and child dependency court, and in administrative proceedings that help protect taxpayer dollars.
